That said, let's head over to the instructions.

Changing the Programming Code on a Garrison Round Electronic Deadbolt

Your Garrison Electronic Lock comes with a default 4-digit Programming Code and it's recommended that you change the default code to ensure security.

The default Programming Code is 0000. This code allows you to make any programming changes in your lock such as adding new User Codes, deleting existing codes, and more. That is, to perform any action that would change your lock programming, you will have to first enter the programming code.

So, here's how to change the default Programming Code on your Garrison Round Electronic Deadbolt:

  1. Enter the default Programming Code (0000) and then press the Lock / Unlock button. (See the image above to help you find the Lock / Unlock button).
  2. Enter 7 and then press the Lock / Unlock button.
  3. Enter your new Programming Code and then press the Lock / Unlock button to complete the process.

Now your new Programming Code is active, and that's the code to use for all other programming.

Note: If you've previously changed your Programming Code, you can still change it with the above method—if you want to. But ensure you enter the current Programming Code instead of the default Code—during the process.

Quick Tip: On the keypad, you can see that each button contains two numbers. To enter the first number on a button, press the button once, and to enter the second number, quickly press the button twice. That is, if you have '1 2' on a button and you want to enter 1, press the button once and then quickly press the button twice if you want to enter 2.
